Traveling in Beirut

Beirut is the capital of Lebanon. It has passed through various rough times but still this city is hub of all major financial and business activities of Lebanon. It is located at Mediterranean ocean so it has typical Mediterranean climate i.e. cold and rainy in winters, dry and hot in summers.If you are traveling by air thenyou have to check for the cheapest airport or airlines.In Barcelona or Girona spain traveling was easier and you can esily get a cheaper flight via Girona Airport or in spanish Aeropuerto de Gerona
A lot of tourists visit Lebanon every year. The prime tourist season starts in July and finishes in September. In this season the prices jumps to the sky especially of hotels and it’s very difficult to visit various places in limited or tight budget. You can also visit the Lebanon in winters too but rains can interrupt your schedule and chances of sight seeing.
You can start your visit from Down Town which lies at the centre of Beirut. Here, you can find cafes, restaurants and all items which you may require during your stay. All this is available within a walking distance. There are many historical places located in this part of the City. If you are looking for night life then Ashrafieh is the place for you. Monet Street and Gemmayze are two most popular places in the area. The former place is famous for the night activities and the later is famous for pubs and restaurants. If you are looking for shopping then the Hamra is the place for you. It is considered as heaven for shopping lovers. There are few hotels and restaurants in the area too. If you want to see the light house then you can visit Manara. It is the western district of Beirut but if you are looking for beaches then you need to go to Ramlet El Baida which is a residential area and contains a public beach or you can go to Jnah where various beach clubs and hotels are present.
Although there are variety of people living here but generally the people here are friendly and help the tourists. Some of them may be willing to show you the area but it depends upon your dressing. If you are well dressed then you will get VIP treatment otherwise … Language is not a big problem in the area. French and Arabic is the official languages but many of them speak English, old people speak French. You can travel in Beirut using a taxi or by bus. You can book the taxi in advance too. Rent a car service is also available in the area. So whenever you get a chance then do visit Beirut and best way to reach Beirut is by air.
